It's a Landrover....
Happy Brithday! It was Kevin's birthday in February and a little known fact is that he is 'mad about' Landrovers. As part of his birthday present, including the standard pullover for dads, and so on Joshua had a spark of inspiration and bought his father a Landrover. Imagine Kevin's surprise, waking up and finding a Discovery parked at the foot of his bed, albeit a model Landrover....."dream on!"
Flying visit. Kevin has booked a weekend flight to the UK on March 20th as he has to pop back to Gllingham (Don't you love Wizzair)! The conservatory on their house has a leak, or three, and he will be working on a major repair before flying back on the 23rd. He may bump into you if you live in the Nth Dorset area.
Laguna lock out. Our Renault Laguna, which we brought out here with us has always had a central locking issue and after some prolonged rain recently, it stopped working altogether...which left Cristina locked out! We had to get a man, from a car body workshop with a piece of wire to come and pop the lock open before we could even move it and sort out the problem. It seems to be fixed now.
Kevin has had some big examination classes this term which has meant a lot of work planning and marking besides teaching. They go to the Cambridge CAE examination on March 14th and 15th.
......We decided to get our dog, Wesley a passport, so that he could travel with us. It's a long process and he was not keen on being 'chipped' nor on having a blood sample taken for a rabies vaccination test. However, he now has an EU passport!
Joshua's Bit:
So, daddy loves Landrovers and it was his birthday. I had a great idea and I bought him one. I think he loves it, only he doesn't drive it around very much at all. It is on a shelf in the bedroom.....which I don't understand. You would think he would play with it...?
Kevin finished a series of sermons at Reghin church from Hebrews 6:1 and 2 on the fundamentals. They were well received and, by request, a small booklet was produced with outline notes in them.
Prayers answered: Laguna lock repaired; a winter without accidents, Joshua is doing well at school, A good series of sermons at church. Family finances were good.
Prayer pointers: Energy for the spring term for Kevin, and for Cristina in her job. Continuing protection against sickness and accidents. The repairs in Gillingham to be efficiently completed.
