Niss' News

Since I was a teenager God put a desire in my heart and that was to serve Him as a missionary, but not anywhere , He wanted me to be a missionary in Romania my own country, so I thought I misunderstood because in my mind a missionary had to go to different countries not his/her own to do that. But God continued to work in my life, and about two years ago |He brought back that dream, that passion to serve the people in my country. In Acts 1:8 He tells the disciples to be His "witnesses in Jerusalem, in all of Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." This is the verse that Kevin Sissons the director for Global Outreach, Romania said one summer and this verse woke me up. Kevin also said that some of us are called to serve in our own countries, some in the countries next to ours , and some in countries that are far, far away from our home. That’s when I knew that I didn’t misunderstand, I was called to serve in my own country, in Romania!
Now faith comes in, I started to worry about lots of things , like "What will my mission be?, Am I capable of doing this?, How am I going to raise support?, etc" I prayed and I prayed, and I took my first step of faith in sharing this with Kevin, and God came in action, from that point on I had faith that He will work everything out. Since then God has brought people in my life that are ready to encourage me and pray for me , some even support me financially.
I pray that God will work through me, and that I'll be like clay in the potters hands!!!

Quarterly Newsletter
Dear
family and friends,
Its been so long since I shared any news but I decided that instead of having a monthly newsletter I am going to have a quarterly one! So basically this newsletter its about the past 3 months, I hope you enjoy my news.
Kids
class
My kids class is a real blessing to me. I find it interesting that although the kids are very hyper that helps me recharge my batteries. Maybe for that reason I have decided to start a new class besides the one I started in September, so I am very happy to announce that starting January 2008 I have been teaching a new class. It has 5 students, most of them are not older than 5 , I have to admit that at first it was pretty challenging to meet new kids and especially their parents , but it all worked out , they are very cute and bright.
Wednesday
Night Bible study for College Students
This year is full of projects for our Bible Study Group. Our first project was a ski trip in February on which we had to bring non-Christian friends and colleaques. We prayed alot about it and with the help of the Lord we had enough funds for transportation and housing. We went in the beautiful Straja resort , we spent 3 days there skiing and sledding but also having interesting conversations at night by the fire. We had a praise and worship time every night and we invited our pastor along to be the one to lead the spiritual conversations, it was a really refreshing time after a period of hard exams.
Another one of our projects is a Christian Conference that we are planning in May, now that definitely requires more funds and preperation, but most of all the hand of God upon us. There are other projects later on but for now these are the most important ones!!
Christmas in Dublin I think most of you know that my family lives in Ireland... so for Christmas I decided to join them in the celebration there... I have to say it was a wonderful time not necesarily because I was in Ireland ,although that was part of the excitement, but most of all because after many years this was the first time we spent Christmas as a familly again! I had the great pleasure of attending the Romanian church in Dublin. It was great to see people that are away from home and are still seeking fellowship with the brother and sisters in Christ. I thank the Lord for giving me the chance to experience this.
Baby
Hospital In my other newsletter I was expressing my desire to work with the "non-officially" abandoned babies at the Ludus Hospital. Back then the doors were kind of closed because my medical tests weren't right , but God answered our prayers and I can go now. So thank you so much for praying for me. I have met wonderfull kids there , who are in such a huge hunger for love and affection. They have touched my life in so many ways that I can't even express, and it is interesting how we think that such little babies can't put their "finger prints" on us because they are too small. But thay can and they did with me. Please continue to pray for Alina ,the babies and I..
Girls prayer group
This group has been on my mind for a long long time. When I met two students at our school they became my friends. At first I thought that maybe it was just me thinking I should talk to them so i started to pray about it. Everytime I met them at our school I felt the Lord leading me to talk to them and share , but then they stopped coming for a while and I just dropped the thought. Even in those times somehow God brought them back in my life, so I am planning on starting a prayer group just with them. I really dont know what it' s going to look like but I know in my heart that through Him all things are Possible!!!! Prayer
